NEW ATHLETE: Mandatory Gymnastique Québec Affiliation ($35 tax exempt) must be purchased separately before the first class.

All athletes must hold a valid annual affiliation with Gymnastique Québec to participate in classes. This affiliation provides sport federation insurance coverage.

Summer is an opportunity for our competitive and pre-competitive athletes to continue moving, training, and enjoying rhythmic gymnastics in a fun outdoor setting. These sessions help gymnasts maintain their flexibility, coordination, stamina, and apparatus skills throughout the summer while spending time with their teammates and building confidence for the season ahead.

PROGRAM DETAILS

♦ 12 outdoor sessions of 60 minutes
♦ Location - Parc Bédard, Saint-Lazare
♦ Reserved for Gemmez pre-competitive and competitive athletes
♦ Sessions are weather dependent

  • Warm-Up

    Gymnasts begin with cardio and stretches, priming their bodies, enhancing flexibility and coordination.

    They develop flexibility and learn elements such as, balances, jumps, pivots, acrobatics, stamina, and coordination.

  • Apparatus Training

    Gymnasts will learn to master rolling, tossing, catching, spinning, and twirling with different apparatuses:

    Hoop: Circular motions, tosses, and body integration.

    Ball: Rolls, accurate throws, catches, and fluid dance transitions.

    Ribbon: Graceful manipulation, incorporating twirls and spirals.

    Clubs: Intricate handwork, tosses, and catches.

    Rope: Rhythmic jumps and skipping techniques.

  • Gymnasts rotating gymnastics balls with Gemmez branded t-shirts

    Skill Development

    Gymnasts learn routines combining dance and apparatus handling, expressing emotions and storytelling through their movements for enhanced performance.

    Cool-Down

    The class concludes with a gradual cool-down, reducing heart rate and preventing muscle soreness.

    Feedback

    Coaches provide ongoing feedback, refining technique and guiding improvement.
