    🟣 Les Améthystes (Ages 3.5–4) - First encounter with rhythm, movement, and apparatus. Saturday mornings · L’Orée-du-Bois
    🔵 Les Aigue-marines (Ages 5–6) - Building technical foundations with rope, hoop, and ball. Thursdays · Westwood Junior
    🔴 Les Rubies (Ages 7–8) - Developing skills with hoop, ball, and ribbon. Mondays · Forest Hill Junior & L’Orée-du-Bois
    🟡 Les Ambres (Ages 9–16) - Developing skills with all 5 apparatus. Tuesdays · L’Orée-du-Bois

  • 2. Add Mandatory Gymnastique Québec Affiliation ($35 non taxable)

    All athletes must hold a valid annual affiliation with GYMQC to participate in classes.

    Must be purchased separately before the first class for registration to be completed.

    Academy T-shirt

    Required for all athletes. Designed to set the tone for focused, athletic training.

Here's an overview of what a class entails:

  • Warm-Up

    Gymnasts begin with cardio and stretches, priming their bodies, enhancing flexibility and coordination.

    They develop flexibility and learn elements such as, balances, jumps, pivots, acrobatics, stamina, and coordination.

  • Apparatus Training

    Gymnasts will learn to master rolling, tossing, catching, spinning, and twirling with different apparatuses:

    - Hoop: Circular motions, tosses, and body integration.

    - Ball: Rolls, accurate throws, catches, and fluid dance transitions.

    - Ribbon: Graceful manipulation, incorporating twirls and spirals.

    - Clubs: Intricate handwork, tosses, and catches.

    - Rope: Rhythmic jumps and skipping techniques.

    Skill Development

    Gymnasts learn routines combining dance and apparatus handling, expressing emotions and storytelling through their movements for enhanced performance.

    Cool-Down

    The class concludes with a gradual cool-down, reducing heart rate and preventing muscle soreness.

    Feedback

    Coaches provide ongoing feedback, refining technique and guiding improvement.
